Prof. Mor Peleg, PhD, FACMI, FIAHSI. I am a biomedical informatician researching knowledge-based clinical decision support systems, an area of artificial intelligence applied to medicine. I create complex systems that integrate patient data and knowledge using semantic-web ontologies (OWL) and use computational methods for reasoning, knowledge discovery, and intelligent data analysis, including machine learning. My research projects focus on supporting disease management for patients with multimorbidity by combining knowledge-driven methods, machine learning, and psycho-behavioral theories to engage patients in their health. Additional areas of research include discovering disease progression pathways and LLM-based ontology learning.
I am the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Biomedical Informatics and directing the university's AI Research Center.
