אודות
פרופ' אור דונקלמן הוא פרופ' מן המניין בחוג למדעי המחשב באוניברסיטת חיפה. נושאי המחקר שלו הם קריפטוגרפיה, עם דגש על קריפטאנליזה, פרטיות, עם דגש על מידע ביומטרי ואבטחת מידע. הוא שימש כראש תת המרכז לחקר הביומטריה ויישומיה הפועל במרכז חקר הסייבר, משפט ומדיניות באוניברסיטה (והוא ממייסדיו). הוא שימש כדירקטור בארגון הקריפטוגרפי הבינלאומי (IACR), וכן כנציג ישראל לועדות התקינה ISO/IEC SC27 WG2/WG3 (כמומחה אבטחת מידע וקריפטוגרפיה), והוא ממייסדי עמותת פרטיות ישראל. כיום הוא משמש כראש ועדת ההיגוי של הכנס Fast Software Encryption, וכן משמש כפרופ' אורח באוניברסיטה הטכנית של ברלין.
במהלך הקריירה האקדמית שלו, פרסם פרופ' דונקלמן מעל ל-130 מאמרים בכנסים וז'ורנלים בינלאומים, כולל הצגתן של שיטות קריפטאנליזה חדשות, התוצאות הטובות ביותר כנגד צפנים נפוצים (דוגמת ה-AES), וכן התקפות כנגד מנגנוני זיהוי ביומטרי. כחלק מעבודתו, הוא מהמפתחים של מספר שיטות הצפנה כגון HAIFA - שיטה ליצירת פונקציות תמצות קריפטוגרפיות, צפני הבלוקים KATAN ו-KTANTAN, וכן פונקציית התמצות SHAvite-3. הוא שימוש בכ-100 ועדת כנסים (כולל כנסים מובילים כגון EUROCRYPT, CRYPTO, ASIACRYPT ו-Usenix), וכ-6 פעמים כראש הועדה האקדמית (כולל EUROCRYPT 2022 ו-FSE 2009). פרופ' דונקלמן זכה במספר פרסים והכרות כגון פרס קריל (2014) ופרסי מאמר מצטיין (לדוגמא, בCRYPTO 2012 וב-FSE 2012).
